Well the website uses electronic cookies (full explanation) which are small files saved to your computer when you use a website. These files serve a number of purposes. One is basically to recognise that a web browser has visited before. The cookie only recognises the web browser and doesn’t know who owns or who is operating the computer. It is used for example to remember what you had in your shopping cart, remember that you were logged in to a website, or that you had changed the zoom level for that site if the text was small.
